那些氣泡，升起的

像是生命，又那麼虛幻

那麼絢麗，那麼不能掌握

這不就是人生嗎？

這樣的生命思考，非常東方，

不料想竟在當代的、西方社會引起強烈共鳴。

All conditioned phenomena

are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, shadows:

I imagine myself

pushed to the highest point of the universe.

As I look back at my brief 50 years,

would she be but a miniscule bubble?

 

As each bubble rises like life,

they remain illusory,

resplendent and ephemeral.

Is this not human existence?

These views are decidedly Eastern, unpresumptuous,

yet are gaining resonance in Western society.
