第二大願：身如琉璃，內外明徹

是楊惠姍一路走來秉持的信念

以藍色琉璃光為藥師法身光芒

以天空之藍，代表無私，澄明

普及天下有情眾生

透過琉璃，把藥師佛為人間解除疾苦的善願

帶給人間，常駐人間

 

Yang’s Debut Sculpture – the World’s First Blue Medicine Buddha in Liuli

Resides in the 1,300 year old Yakushi-ji Temple in Nara, Japan

Each of the twelve vows from the Sutra of the Medicine Buddha

is dedicated to all sentient beings.

Each vow is a reminder to look at the self

through the compassion of the Medicine Buddha.

The Second Great Vow:

"May the body be as liuli, transparent inside and out."

This is the faith that has upheld her.

Allow the light of the Blue Medicine Buddha,

and the color representing selflessness and clarity,

to cast itself on all creatures big and small.

Through liuli, let the Medicine Buddha be the empathy

to alleviate the suffering felt in life.

Embrace it and may it be everlasting.
