開出二十一世紀的東方琉璃新顏色

 

上帝開出一朵花，只要一天

人類開出一朵琉璃花，等待了一百年

 

一百年前，Emile Gallé創作的法國玫瑰

一抹燒製在花瓣上自然輕柔的漸層粉色

成為世紀創舉，轟動世界

儘管如此，Gallé的玫瑰仍留有遺憾

依附在瓶身上的花朵，無法獨立綻放

 

而琉璃工房心中的琉璃花

應是傲然無畏的姿態

為了解開雕塑與色彩的束縛

至此展開了一段長達25年的漫長追尋

 

1400度烈火焚燒下的琉璃漿  奔竄

色彩在流動與轉化中，無可駕馭

燒製一次就是長達60天的等待

一開爐，只是失敗

所有實驗，皆是時間與費用

耗盡所有，也無人保證成功

 

黑暗中，一點一點摸索，一點一點前進

25年的慘烈戰役，終換來

一朵發光的琉璃花

一朵夢想的琉璃花

這是一百年後，開出的一朵琉璃花

21世紀的世界琉璃史

有了一個全新的境界，鐫刻出一個東方的名字

Dream in Color

A New Color for the 21st Century in Asian Liuli

 

Mother nature bloomed a flower, it took one day.

Humans bloomed a liuli flower, it took 100 years.

One hundred years ago, Emile Gallé gave the world Rose de France.

Layers of naturalistic petals in soft colors fired together

made the world gasp with delight.

Yet Gallé's flowers lacked dimension.

 

The Liuligongfang flower

instinctively sought to break free from

the fetters of sculpture and color.

Thus began a 25 year aspiration.

 

Under 1400° liuli runs wild,

color and movement untamed.

Each firing took 60 days,

each reveal, failure.

Every experiment a test of time, money

and effort, without guaranteed results.

 

In the darkness, cracks of light began to show.

From a 25 year long battle

came a luminescent liuli flower,

the flower of our dreams.

The first liuli flower to bloom in 100 years.

In the history of 21st century liuli,

a new perspective, a flower from Asia.
